Residential Recycling  Properly prepared recycling containers can be placed for pick up anytime after 6 pm the day before collection and before 7 am the day of collection. You must return your empty recycling containers to your private property by 8 pm on collection day. Recycling is collected on the same day as your trash collection. It’s simple! Place your bin or cart alongside your trash container at your regular point of collection. If you have lots of paper (phone books, office paper, mail, magazines and newspapers) put the overflow into brown paper grocery bags and set them beside your car or bin. There is a Monday-Thursday trash collection area and a Tuesday-Friday trash collection area. Recycling collection in those areas is split between the two days that trash is collected. This map shows how the recycling collection days in that portion of the city differ from the trash collection days.
